Maclaine’s Maps

The walk

See clearly. Want honestly. Name the gap. Take one step.

Map draws what is present: people, limits, forces, and flows. It does not dress circumstance as fate.

Ideal names a good plainly enough to be kept in view.

Gap is where map and ideal refuse each other. Do not pass it quickly; honesty often lives there.

Path is the smallest walk that changes the gap. One kept step is worth more than a shelf of intentions.

The walk is a public alias for an older habit: take off the costume of role, hold the work to the light, and keep only what can be walked.

How to use the garden

  • Enter a room. Read slowly.
  • Leave with one sentence you can act on.
